Brief

Creating a space that allows for large gatherings of family and friends, but also functions for day to day use can be tricky. The original decking was demolished and replaced with ipe, or Brazilian Walnut. With the bright sun baking down on the paver patio, the homeowners wanted to be sure the material used would not be too hot on bare feet, so natural limestone was chosen. The final product allowed for multiple seating areas and additional sleeping areas in the warm summer months as well!
